Joanne Rogers
Joanne Rogers was a frequent visitor to the Fred Rogers Center at Saint Vincent College, as well as to events on campus, from Pittsburgh Steelers Training Camp to concerts to interactions with students, to the Yo-Yo Ma Fred Rogers Legacy Award presentation. A select sampling of photos from her many visits include pictures with Yo-Yo Ma, David Hartman, James Ragan, Art Rooney, LeVar Burton, to Fred's biographer Maxwell King, as well as when she received an honorary doctorate from Saint Vincent from then college President Martin Bartel, O.S.B., now the 12th Archabbot of Saint Vincent, to her friendship with the 11th Archabbot, Douglas Nowicki, O.S.B. Other concerts she attended included those of André Watts, Manfred Honeck and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, organist Alan Morrison, son of her dear friend Jeannine Morrison, with whom she was a frequent duo-piano partner. Her spirit was evident in her robust laugh, and her joie de vivre. Fred will be glad to see her.
